My advice is to see a stylist in your area. Any stylist worth his/her salt will be able to consult you on what they think would look best on you while taking your own personal ideas of what you want into account. They will also have tons of hair books with different hair styles for you to look through. You can also try looking on the internet. Just print out about 10 pictures or so and take them in with you. Then you can work out something together.
