Male hairstyle suggestions?

ok so, im a teenager with extremely thick brownish blonde hair. i have to get it FREQUENTLY thinned out to not make it look like i have a large tumor for a head. I'm trying to find a new hairstyle, but no NOTHING of the topic. im annoyed to piss that everytime i get out of the shower my main goal is to flatten out my hair so it doesnt bulge (which it inevitably does). does anyone have any ideas that i might be able to pull off that are a LITTLE more original than the sheepdoggish hair cut most male teens wear? another thing, due to parental interventions, i cannot change the color of my hair, the length of my bangs cannot pass the bottom parts of my eyes, sideburns cannot go lower than about mid ear. (lol mid ear :D) iv always kindof wanted to cut it short and gel it somehow, but once again i would have no idea what to do. My boyfriend's hair is exactly the same way. He has to get it thinned out all the time. His hair is brown, curly, and thick. What looks best on him is just a little below his ear. What you can do is straighten it the night before or the day of, and it should work. Hope I helped!
