What is a good, easy-to-manage, medium length male hairstyle?

I'm not looking for anything trendy. Currently my scalp is blessed with a shag about 2 months overdue for a cut and I'm looking for a new style. Problem is, everything I find on the internet is tainted with inspiration from ';high'; fashion, emo music, or other indie sources. I'm kind of a bum, and I just want an easy hair style that is going to be easily managed, not too short but not too long, and won't make me look like i should either be in a punk rock mosh pit or a Parisian catwalk.What is a good, easy-to-manage, medium length male hairstyle?
